Clinical Thermography

A Non-Invasive Look at Your Body’s Thermal Patterns

Clinical thermography is a gentle, non-invasive imaging tool that measures heat patterns on the surface of the body. These patterns can provide useful information about areas of inflammation, circulation changes, and other physiological activity that may warrant continued observation or discussion with your healthcare provider.

At Auburn Total Health, we offer several thermography options, with a special focus on breast thermography and establishing a reliable baseline over time.

Breast Thermography

Breast thermography uses infrared imaging to evaluate heat patterns and vascular activity in the breast tissue. There is no radiation, no compression, and no contact with the breast during imaging.

Thermography is especially valuable when images are compared over time. For that reason, your first breast thermography appointment includes a second comparison imaging session approximately three months later.

The follow-up image allows your thermography interpreter to compare your thermal patterns and establish a more meaningful personal baseline.

Breast Imaging — $375

Includes:

  • Initial breast thermography imaging

  • Professional interpretation

  • Your three-month comparison imaging session

  • Comparison interpretation to help establish your baseline

Major Torso Thermography

For clients who would like a broader look at thermal patterns throughout the body, our Major Torso Thermography provides more comprehensive imaging.

Major Torso Imaging — $440

Includes imaging of the:

  • Breasts

  • Full spine

  • Abdomen

  • Head and neck area

Your initial Major Torso appointment also includes a follow-up comparison imaging session approximately three months later.

Your Images Are Interpreted by Dr. Pamela Atkins

All thermography images taken at Auburn Total Health are professionally interpreted by Dr. Pamela Atkins.

After your images are reviewed, you will receive a detailed thermography report outlining the thermal findings and any areas recommended for continued monitoring or further evaluation with your healthcare provider.

Why Is the Three-Month Comparison Important?

Unlike a one-time snapshot, thermography becomes more useful when your individual thermal patterns can be compared over time.

Your first appointment begins the process of establishing your personal baseline. The included three-month comparison allows the interpreter to look for patterns that remain stable as well as any changes that may deserve additional attention.

Once your baseline has been established, future thermography can be compared with your previous images to help monitor changes over time.

An Additional Tool for Breast Wellness

Breast thermography can be incorporated into a proactive breast wellness routine for women who want additional information about their bodies.

It is important to understand that thermography does not diagnose breast cancer and is not a replacement for mammography, ultrasound, MRI, or other imaging recommended by your healthcare provider. Instead, it may be used as an additional physiological imaging tool alongside appropriate medical screening.
